WETA Mission -

Our purpose is to promote quality employment and training services and support the professionals who implement and administer those services for job seekers, workers and the employer community.

Wisconsin Employment and Training Association (WETA) is a non-profit organization involving people from both public and private sector agencies providing employment and training services throughout the state.

WETA is an organization committed to the daily practitioners of employment and training services throughout the state of Wisconsin.  This front-line philosophy provides practical applications of ideas, strategies, and solutions to the most pressing issues facing workforce development.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to promote quality employment and training services and support the professionals who implement and administer those services for job seekers, workers and the employer community.

WETA's Vision

We serve as the representative voice to:

1. To assist workforce professionals providing employment services;
2. To promote employment and training opportunities for personal and professional growth and development;
3. To facilitate the development of quality employment and training services that are accessible to professionals, job seekers, incumbent workers and employers;
4. To advocate training and development opportunities for workforce professionals to better serve a diverse population.

What We Do

• WETA offers an opportunity for employment and training professionals to network and share "best practice" ideas from a practical level during our annual October conference.  

• We provide skills-enhancing training sessions that address pertinent strategies necessary to be effective.

• We provide an opportunity for individuals to make a contribution at whatever level of involvement they desire.

• We enhance the WETA website by providing current issues and challenges for the employment and training field through the IAWP newsletter, mini-trainings and the annual October conference for professional development.
